What I'm Up To

Kelowna, BC This is for Cheryl. My visit was great. Maybe not the best time of year to visit Kelowna, but visiting Cheryl, anytime is the BEST time!

This was our summer!

We spent a lot of time with family this summer. It was great, but I miss my friends! Mark loves playing in the sand, as you can see. My girls LOVE water. Willie discovered swimming this summer too. We had lots of fun at the cottage, camping and the beach. The girls also played soccer and were very proud of their medals. And I took lots of pictures (as usual)! Time to move on to the next phase...school! I'm a little nervous sending my girls to school after attempting homeschooling. But I'm glad that God will be with them...ya, TRUST IN HIM. I'll be at home praying!!

Back for a bit!

Wow! Guess this blog thing isn't my thing! Well, what's new? We've been busy with adoption stuff. This is the part that takes awhile to get through...all the paperwork and appointments. Nothing exciting to report yet. Here are some new pics. Flowers and birds from my gardens and the girls just being them.

Sisters

Well ok. I spent the weekend with my sisters and no kids. Nice! I'm very close with my 2 sisters...but only since we grew up. I love spending time with them. Wish it were more often since we all live in different cities. We now have a tradition that about twice a year we have a just sisters weekend. It's really great and all our husbands are totally for it. We all have great husbands and kids! Nice to get away though! And they appreciate us so much more when we get back! It's nice to be loved!

A New Thing

Adopting a third world child is a pretty surreal experience and it is something I'm very excited about. Many have quickly responded with encouragement, support and excitement! Can hardly wait but I have a long journey ahead! Aren't these 2 going to be great sisters to our new member?!

I'm Thankful

I missed thankful Saturday. (away at my sister's) So I'm Thankful on Monday...a good day to be thankful! I'm thankful that my kids were born in Canada ... not a third world country. It breaks my heart that there are children suffering in third world conditions. I'm thankful that I am alive...that my girls have a mother and my husband has a wife and they didn't have to suffer from the loss of me. I am so blessed and thankful for a lot of things.

Flowers in February

I loved going to Florida in February. I could take pictures of flowers. I was very inspired. The girls swam everyday ( their favourite activity). And of course we met Mickey Mouse and all the Disney Princesses at Disney World. One of my favorite days was when we went to the ocean. Sand on the toes - who could ask for anything more! Definitely a trip that lifted my mood with all that sunshine. Can't wait for the flowers to bloom here!
